Races
With a choice of up to 5 races running concurrently as part of the Dawn to Dusk event, here’s a quick summary to help you choose the right one for you…
Youth Race
a standalone event run on the Saturday afternoon – designed especially for younger riders, over the age of 10 and under 16 years old on the 25th August 2011 Avoiding any extreme sections but still tough enough to provide a challenge.
The start on Saturday will be group starts by classes, with the Senior class leading the first wave starting at 10:00am. The remaining class will then follow after a minute.
Junior class for 10 and 11 year olds.
Intermediate class for 12 and 13 year olds.
Senior class for 14 and 15 year olds.
The race will finish when the chequered flag goes out for the lead rider in the senior class at the two-hour mark.

6 Hour Race
the perfect introduction to endurance racing off-road style, favoured by most first-time riders. The 6 hour race is for solo’s or 2 man teams in the sportsman and clubman classes.
The start of the 6 hour enduro on Sunday 28th August will be a Le Mans start, (i.e. a short run to your bike from a standing start) with groups leaving in classes – the first wave starting at 1:00 pm. This means you will need to have your bike on the start line at 12:15 pm.
Once lined up, you will be allowed to warm up your bikes, and then all engines MUST be switched off at 12:55 pm.
For the 6 hour enduro entrants there will be a riders briefing on Sunday morning, at 10:30am, at the marquee. There will also be a Video of the sighting lap in the marquee on Sunday after the Briefing at about 11.30am

12 Hour Race
The Daddy – the original race format from which the whole event takes its name, a real tester for individuals and teams alike. For solo riders, 2 and 3 man teams across all classes.
The start of the 12 hour enduro on Sunday 26th August will be a Le Mans (i.e. a short run to your bike from a standing start) start, with groups leaving in classes – the first wave starting at 7:00 am. This means you will need to take your bike from the parc ferme and line up on the start line at 6:15 am.
Once lined up, you will be allowed to warm up your bikes, and then all engines MUST be switched off at 6:55 am.
For 12 hour enduro entrants there will be a riders briefing on Saturday evening, at 8:30pm, at the marquee. There will also be a Video of the sighting lap in the marquee on Saturday after the Briefing at about 9.30pm.

24 hour race…
The Beast! perhaps the ultimate off-road challenge in the UK. Individuals and teams of up to 4 riders pit themselves against the Mountain, the weather, and their own physical reserves for a whole night and day. The night lap – from the start, is a shorter 5-6 mile loop running for the initial 12 hours of the race. Good lights are a must!
The start of the 24 hour enduro on Saturday 25th August will be a Le Mans start (i.e. a short run to your bike from a standing start), with groups leaving in classes – the first wave starting at 7:00 pm. This means you will need to be on the start line with your bike no later than 6:15 pm.
Once lined up, you will be allowed to warm up your bikes, and then all engines MUST be switched off at 6:55 pm.
For the 24 hour enduro entrants there will be a sighting lap of the night section for all riders between 2.00pm – 4.00pm on Saturday afternoon. There will be a riders briefing on Saturday afternoon, at 5:00pm, at the marquee. (the main sighting lap course will be shown through out the night and during the morning)

The Big Bike (night) race
Entries for machines over 575cc of single or twin cylinder format – a non championship round of the Big Bike Rally challenge, starting off in the late evening, just after the 24 hour race heads off into the gathering darkness.
The start of the Big Bike Challenge enduro on Saturday 25th August will be a Le Mans start, with groups leaving in classes – the first wave starting at 7.15 pm. This means you will need to line up on the start line at 6:30 pm. The Event finishes at 5.15 am Sunday the 28th August – most laps = victory!
Once lined up, you will be allowed to warm up your bikes, and then all engines MUST be switched off at 6:55 pm.
For the Big Bike enduro entrants there will be a sighting lap of the night section for all riders between 2.00pm – 4.00pm on Saturday afternoon. There will be a riders briefing on Saturday afternoon, at 5:00pm, at the marquee.
